Tomorrow

Countless yesterdays sold off for the mind’s tomorrow
Longing for that tomorrow to bring me Home today
Borrowing from tomorrow until it went broke
Oh how much you've carried for me tomorrow
A hope that a day would come when I could love me
Love this Life
Yet striving, clawing up the hill of my pain
Reaching to get just a glimpse of the Light stretching over me
The sunrise of my soul always just seeming to be
a tomorrow away
So I've built towers, walls, stairs, and windows
but the Light has yet to touch my face
Here now with no more energy to build
Here now without a tomorrow to reach for
Just me and my pain
At least I am not alone
Pain please guide me Home
Today
