Divine Love

The light in my eye is blinding

and nothing that I am finding

is as desiring

as the love in your eyes.

And here we sit, late,

Contemplat’ing, remembering

to sing a song for you.

What is true, in the dark blue sky?

Time goes by, by and I try,

to feel you kiss me in the morning sun.

Fear undone for only fun,

behind to run for more to come.

What is small simple and sound,

goes all around the two of you?

You want a clue?

Something profound, but surely true.

Not from me,

you’ll have to see

with your own eyes.

I touch your thighs,

give you a shiver that shakes and makes

you call out my name.

The same game.

Looking at autumn leaves, leaving the trees.

I drop myself to sacrifice for your health.

For winter music reminds us of the silence,

the patience, tomorrow will bring.

And Mama will sing in spring.

With a drop of lavender, I’ll be your king,

If you be my queen, the scene of the setting sun

reminds us that summer has already come.

I wrote this when I was twenty years old. It's my favorite piece of writing from this period of my life. After working on it late in to the night I had branched off into three different ideas. The next day was a collaboration with the universe, full of synchronicities to bring it all together. An event heavily decorated with purple or lavender for a departing staff member of my college earlier in the day, and then watching the sunset on that autumn day, to name a few.
